Love My Mom

Sure am thankful for my dear Mother! She was always there for me. I remember playing as a little girl, and the next thing I knew I was crying and she was holding me on her lap. I had passed out and that's when they found out about my thyroid. She took care of a lot of sick kids in her lifetime. There are 7 of us.
I know Mom often went without, so we could have things.
Mom baked the best bread. And I'm sad to say, I didn't learn that skill.
She was also a great seamstress and made a lot of my clothes.
I sure do miss you Mom. There have been so many times, I wanted to call you and ask a question about canning or a question about one of the relatives. But you were in heaven.
Thanks for all the things you taught me. And thanks for loving me unconditionally.
I LOVE YOU!

Love My Dad

So thankful to have such a sweet father. He taught me many things. I think the greatest being to live close to the Spirit and follow the promptings that come. He did that.

He was a man of faith, loved to serve and taught by example. He was a man of few words. But I loved being with him. We would go on the Peterson runs to get the barrels of old produce to feed the sheep, sometimes never saying a word.

Love and miss you Dad!

Gethsemane

"Jesus climbed the hill to the garden still. His steps were heavy and slow.
Love and a prayer took Him there to the place only He could go.
Gethsemane, Jesus loves me - So He went willingly to Gethsemane.

He felt all that was sad, wicked or bad all the pain we would ever know
While His friends were asleep He fought to keep His promise made long ago.
Gethsemane, Jesus loves me. So He went willingly to Gethsemane.

The hardest thing that ever was done, the greatest pain that ever was known,
The biggest battle that ever was won, this was done by Jesus. The fight was
won by Jesus.

Gethsemane, Jesus loves me, So He gave His gift to me in Gethsemane.
Gethsemane, Jesus loves me. So He gives His gift to me from Gethsemane."

Our choir sang this song on Sunday. During practice, we didn't have enough women voices, so I had the Bishop invite our Primary children up to join us. They know this song well. It was a beautiful experience! So grateful for our loving Savior and the sacrifice He made for us!  https://youtu.be/5uSGSvKy6Io
