Temple

I love to see the Temple.
I'm going there someday
To feel the Holy Spirit,
To listen and to pray.

I went to the Temple today. Our regular sealing group only had 3 participants, so they took us to a different room. They only had 4.

I was somewhat anxious today, because we are going to celebrate our sweet Sheila's birthday. How am I going to get everything accomplished? Heidi showed up and helped me make salads.

I got to be a daughter today. The sealer said that it was his prayer, that we would feel the love of our Savior as we served in the Temple. Boy, did I feel the love. I couldn't hold back the tears.

When I was finished 2 more couples came. Plenty of help in that session. I then asked to be excused and thanked them for the wonderful experience.

I have plenty of time to accomplish the rest of my tasks and I felt a little bit of heaven today.

SHEILA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! THANKS FOR BEING MY SISTER! I LOVE YOU!

Primary

Today, in Primary we learned this:

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and He is a God of Miracles.

In 2 Nephi 27:23 it says: "For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles;...and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith."

I'm so thankful for the miracles in our lives. Heavenly Father is so good to us.

A Special Day for Ivan

We just got back from a marathon trip. Blair had to deliver some equipment in Fort Collins, CO via Scottsdale, AZ. We thought we were going to be gone 3 days. But it took us 6. We were thankful we were safe and that Blair was able to get the equipment up and running. We're grateful for Heavenly Father's help in all we do.

Blair and I drove through Garfield County last night. (Mom's old stomping ground - She was born in Hatch) It brought back some fond memories of visits of long ago. I sure miss my Mom and Dad. It's beautiful down here. We're in Kanab right now. Blair is working on a scope at the hospital. We're happy about Lucy and Hazel's safe arrival. I LOVE my family.

Vegas

Blair and I were in Vegas this last week. He had a class down there at the Luxor. I love all the mountain formations and there were some pretty wildflowers along the freeway through Washington and St. George.
Thursday we got to go to Caleb's pre-school graduation. We're proud of you Caleb. We love and appreciate all of our children and grandchildren.

Shrek

Blair and I went to see the latest installment of Shrek. We bought dinner and ate in the theatre. The movie was really good. We had seen not so good reviews in the paper, so we weren't sure what to expect. Planted a few apple trees today. Blair worked out in the garage trying to clean it up. If we do a little at a time, we'll eventually get done.

The hummingbirds are not the only birds enjoying the nectar. They're competing with these orioles. (I think that's what they are)

It's a lot nicer day today. I had a chance to get out and plant potatoes, tomatoes (put a wall of water around each one)peppers and some flowers. Love all the pretty plants and trees that are budding out.

It snowed again, but it's melting. It's nice to get all this water! It looks like it's still snowing in the mountains.
Happy Birthday to Charles and Jack! Love you!

Grandma's helper

Benji stopped by with his mom after his visit to the doctor. He helped me fill all the hummingbird feeders with nectar. (We made nectar on his last visit). He then brought Sheila's hamper to the laundry room and did all her laundry. Then he filled Oscar's bowls with water and food. What a great helper! Thanks Benji!

A nice Sunday walk...

Trip to Lewiston

Blair had some work to do in Lewiston, Idaho. It was a beautiful place and we enjoyed our time away.

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Sheila had a root canal yesterday and came through with flying colors. I've never had one so I was freaking out for her. I took Oscar for a walk today and wore him out. We're both pretty chubby so I'm going to do that more often.
