Our Far Away Kids

We had a nice visit this week with our kids in medical school. It was so nice to see them.

Scouting For Food

Today was the scouting for food drive. Thanks to so many people for being so generous. Our district filled up 2 big trailors. The weather was cold and windy, but the men and young scouts hung in there and did a great job.

IFA

I took my sweet Hailey with me to IFA today. We looked at all the baby chicks and baby ducks. I seriously wanted to bring some home with me. I know our dogs would chase them and try to eat them. So, I bought some plants instead. I worked out in the yard today. I think it had to be at least 70 degrees today.

Funeral

Sheila and I went to our Aunt's funeral this morning. It was so good to see our cousins that we haven't seen in ages. It was nice to hear about our Aunt and her life and her talents. She moved away after her husband died and I hadn't really kept track of her. Family is so special. I'm thankful for my family.

Blair got his stitches out and everything looks good. They got all the cancer, the margins were clear. They just want to check him out every 6 months or unless something else comes up. The weather is fabulous. It's time to get the garden going. Sheila and I rode our bikes today. We took Karen to lunch with us and then she bought a few groceries.

Update

We just got back from the dermatologists. Blair had a second removal of a skin cancer on his neck. We hope that got it all. He fell asleep while the doctor was stitching him up. She said she's a perfectionist and wanted to make it look as good as possible. He feels great and is working. The weather is beautiful here. My trusty weather direct says it's 63 degrees outside. We're loving it. I've got some tomato and pepper starts growing in the kitchen. This is a great time of year for me.
