Amazing Grace
The choir sang this song on Sunday with a beautiful piano and cello accompaniment. We were blessed to have the Spirit with us also. Help from heaven.
"Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come;
'Tis grace that brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home."
From Sheri Dew's book 'Amazed By Grace' Elder Bruce R. McConkie said that "if it were not for the grace of God, there would be nothing - no creation, no fall, no mortal probation, no redemption, no immortality, no eternal life. It is God's grace that underlies all things, and...that makes all things possible. Without it there would be nothing; with it there is everything."
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland added further clarity: "Much of the miraculous help we find in the gospel is just that-a miracle from heaven, the power of divine priesthood, the attendance of angels administering to us through a very thin veil. These are gifts from God, manifestations of His grace."
How grateful I am for the Saviors amazing grace!
