We got to spend the week in Philmont with Sam, Amber, Hailey, Ivan, Caleb and Ella.
We each participated in a program designed for our age group. Amber and I were in the Silverados. We went to a dutch oven class, tour of the Villa Philmonte, and handicrafts. We could have done much more, but we did laundry two of the days and rested and read a book. They had white water rafting, hikes, horseback riding, a COPE's course. It was a good vacation. The meals were all prepared for us, so we just had to show up at the right time. We stopped in Durango on the way down to New Mexico. We swam in the pool at the recreation center the night we arrived and rode the train to Silverton in the morning. (I'm not sure how you put pictures and words together, if anyone can give me a heads up on that I'd appreciate it.) We met some nice people. They came from all over the country. Glad to be home.
